Postponed: Fuente Grande at The Actors Studio of Newburyport
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the January 11 performance of Fuente Grande has been postponed; a new date and time will be announced soon. All tickets will be honored on the rescheduled date.
Fuente Grande is the second event in our three-part poetry series. The one-act play depicts the night of the murder of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, as his friends clandestinely try to protect him.
Fuente Grande is the second event in our three-part poetry series. The one-act play depicts the night of the murder of Spanish poet Federico García Lorca, as his friends clandestinely try to protect him.
Fuente Grande includes García Lorca's poetry, voiced offstage by Rhina Espaillat and Alfred Nicol; his music, played on Spanish guitar by John Tavano; and his songs, sung by Shannon Muhs. The play is directed by Marc Clopton and is at The Actors Studio of Newburyport in Salisbury.
The Newburyport Literary Festival is grateful to John Tavano and the performers, and to Marc Clopton, founder and director of The Actors Studio of Newburyport, play director and event host, for their generosity in presenting this excellent and timely play to benefit the Newburyport Literary Association and Newburyport Literary Festival.
