DESCRIPTION:Fuente Grande is the second event in our three-part poetry series. The one-act play depicts the night of the murder of Spanish poet Federico Garc a Lorca\, as his friends clandestinely try to protect him.\n\n\nFuente Grande includes Garc a Lorca's poetry\, voiced offstage by Rhina Espaillat and Alfred Nicol\; his music\, played on Spanish guitar by John Tavano\; and his songs\, sung by Shannon Muhs. The play is directed by Marc Clopton and is at The Actors Studio of Newburyport in Salisbury.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Newburyport Literary Festival is grateful to John Tavano and the performers\, and to Marc Clopton\, founder and director of The Actors Studio of Newburyport\, play director and event host\, for their generosity in presenting this excellent and timely play to benefit the Newburyport Literary Association and Newburyport Literary Festival.
