Vintage Baseball Watercolors Reception

Carry Out Cafe & Catering in Newburyport, MA, is currently featuring a new show in the Cafe gallery entitled "Drawn to the Game" by Salisbury resident Joe Farnham. The collection's theme is vintage baseball imagery.
 
The artwork will be on display throughout April. There will be a Reception at the Cafe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4^th (which also happens to be opening day at Fenway Park.) The public is invited to come by, meet the artist, and enjoy stadium-themed snacks and beverages.
 
The art show and reception coincides with a special baseball-themed community event that the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce is holding the weekend of April 4^th and April 5^th to support local commerce along with the home team. There will be a ceremonial first pitch to kick off the Go Local campaign at 2:05 p.m. in Market Square, special offers throughout the City for customers sporting Red Sox gear, and a visit from Wally the Green Monster on Saturday, April 5.
