Random Acts 13

Random Acts, the hit theater event will be back at the Firehouse for one night only! Random Acts is an evening of short plays written, cast, rehearsed and performed in just 24 hours. In other words: 14 writers + 23 actors + 7 directors + 1 producer + plenty on angels in the wings=7 plays from page to stage in just one day!

Here's how it all unfolds: the playwrights begin their adventure Friday night when they gather to be randomly paired (names drawn from a hat, no really) and sent off to create 7 short plays in 12 hours. For generally solitary writer types, this is a brave undertaking--not only writing with a partner but also a stranger. The finished plays are handed off to directors and actors early Saturday morning to be randomly cast (cue the hat again) and rehearsed until the curtain goes up that very evening.

A true community-bonding event, Random Acts brings together more than 50 talented theater folks from in and around the area and beyond-we have had participants fly in from Arizona, NYC, and Washington, DC.
