Plum Island Birdwatching

A two-hour birdwatching tour on the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, located on the southern end of Plum Island. This tour visits the diverse habitats that supports a fantastic diversity of birds. Plum Island supports birds associating with the following habitats ... open ocean, near-shore ocean, sandy beach, rocky intertidal zone, primary dune, estuary, tidal saltwater and brackish marsh. Plum Island is a US Top 100 birding destination. This trip begins at the Visitor's Center for the Parker River NWR. The trip is a combination of in-car, car stops, and walking in pursuit of birds in various habitats.
Tour Guide - Steve Hale, holds university degrees in marine biology, evolutionary biology, and ecology. He has lived in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire for 25 years.. An avid hiker, birder, and experienced naturalist, Steve loves to share his experience and knowledge with others.
