Pennies' Grocery Cart Challenge at Yankee Homecoming Parade

Join the inaugural wacky food drive during the Yankee Homecoming Parade down High Street in Newburyport on Sunday, August 4^th. You can participate in two ways:

• Create a team to join the parade with fancifully decorated “carts.” Teams will collect non-perishable food and personal care items along the parade route while competing for the title of “2019 Grocery Cart Champion!” It is a fun way to be in the parade and help the community. • As a spectator on the route, bring an armload of donations to fill the Grocery Carts as they pass by. Pennies will distribute all items to local food pantries. Find a list of “most needed items” at penniesforpoverty.org.
