Peace Walk 5k & Festival

Unity on the River Spiritual Center, 58 Macy St (Route 110), Amesbury Plaza, Amesbury, MA is holding “Peace Walk 5k and Festival” which will serve to focus the attention of our greater community on issues around the themes of anti-bullying, happiness and peace.
A portion of the funds raised will sponsor a series of presentations around these themes in various community venues such as schools and community centers.
 
Where:
The Walk will begin and end at Woodsom Farm, Lion's Mouth Rd, Amesbury
 
When:
Sat, Oct 4, 10am-12:30pm 5k Round Trip Walk
 
12n-3pm Festival. A free, fun-filled Festival with song, food, face painting and local artisan exhibits. Singer/Songwriter Meg Rayne, Lesley Smith, Sammy the Snail and DJ Clyde will perform.
Sammy Snail has a huge following from his many appearances in local schools where bullying prevention is part of his repertoire.

$10 registration fee can be pre-paid online, or at the event before 10am.
The Festival is free.

A iPad mini is the prize for the walker with the highest sponsorship total.
