The Walsingham Gallery celebrates two masters of realist painting with an exhibition of new work from Gary Korlin and Robert Bolster. The exhibition will begin with an Artists Reception on Saturday, April 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. and run through May 31.
Gary Korlin’s poetic and expressive paintings are influenced by his travels around the world. Each figurative, architectural, and landscape painting captures a specific time, place, and feeling effortlessly. His new work, rich in saturated color, massages the eye into a feeling of depth.
Robert Bolster renders New England scenes with incredible precision and economy, while still conveying a sense of time and movement. In recent work, Bolster has experimented with subtle grid systems and subdued color palettes inspired by the renowned marine painter, Winslow Homer.
