Newburyport's Great Pumpkin Lighting and Stroll

Newburyport's Great Pumpkin Lighting and Stroll is a new family, friendly event that will take place on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 6 - 9 PM in Market Square. Families are encouraged and invited to bring a carved pumpkin that will be lit and placed on the stage in Market Square for all to enjoy! Each family will receive a votive candle that will be lit all at once at dusk - approximately 6:15 PM.

After the lighting, attendees are encouraged to stroll the downtown and Tannery to "ooh and ahh" at all the pumpkins designed by local businesses! At the end of the evening families are asked to take their pumpkins home for safe keeping.

Refreshments will be provided by M.K. Winston Jewelers, Votives provided by Partridge in a Bear Tree and Music provided by WNBP AM 1450 and FM 106.1.
