JULY 12 - Group Drumming Workshop
Group drumming has been with humanity since before the dawn of written history. In our modern world, many of us have lost track of what it means to connect with our tribe on a deep level. Group drumming can be fun, but it can also touch something ancient within ourselves that reminds us of the power of rhythm to unite people around a common purpose. This workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals of how to play various types of hand drums, as well as teaching basic rhythms that are drawn from several cultural traditions. No prior experience is required. If you own a drum, bring it along, but there will be extra drums available for people to borrow. All ages are welcome, though we ask that young children have adult supervision. Please register online.
