Imagine Studios Presents "Sammy Snail's Puppet Pajama Party - A Child's Special Night Out

Families and children four years and older are invited to attend in their PJ’s for a musical puppet extravaganza. This new work features a live, multi-media performance by New England Foundation for the Arts Touring Artist, world class ventriloquist and puppeteer Lesley Smith and her characters, starring Sammy Snail (shhh.. he’s a puppet but don’t tell him)!

This interactive, community-based performance includes live puppetry and ventriloquism interwoven with music, dance, drumming and creative movement by youth performers from the Dance Place and Zach Fields Drum Studios. The event also features segments of the television pilot episode of Sammy’s New World.

This event will raise awareness and funding for Imagine Studios community outreach project, Sammy Cares, bringing peace building performing arts programs to schools, hospitals and homeless shelters. This event is sponsored by the Institution for Savings Charitable Foundation, Seaport Signworks, Stone Ridge Properties and Wilson Language Training.

This event is supported in part by the Firehouse Community Grant Program which grants six Greater Newburyport non-profit organizations complimentary use of their historic facility.
