Greater Newburyport Village Lunch & Learn Richard Burke Jones “Keeping the Past Alive”
Greater Newburyport Villages, popular “Lunch and Learn” Series will return to the Hope Church on Wednesday, June 22nd.
Join us to hear Keeping the Past Alive-Meet Artist Richard Burke Jones. You may know him as Newburyport’s City Clerk but did you know that his historic cityscapes of Newburyport hang on the walls of banks, offices, and private homes? Jones is truly a renaissance man. In his career, he has run his own law office, been a software programmer and taught at the college level. A graduate of Newburyport High, he holds a multitude of degrees from top notch Universities in philosophy, law, and art. Hear how this gifted artist researches, designs, and paints historical scenes of many 19th century New England towns.
