Cushing House Museum Tours
Tours
The Museum of Old Newbury is headquartered at the 1808 Cushing House and preserves three historic buildings, a restored 19th century garden, and a world class collection of art, archives, and artifacts. Founded in 1877 as the Historical Society of Old Newbury, the museum grew to include the collection of the Newburyport Marine Society in 1912. This collection is now shared with the Custom House Maritime Museum, a short walk away. Through museum tours, public programs and events, and research, the museum brings the history of Newburyport, Newbury, and West Newbury to life for visitors from around the world.
Tours are conducted on the hour (11 am, noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm) during open days and last approximately 45 minutes-1 hour. All visitors must be accompanied by a guide throughout the museum.
Tours are limited to ten people - please arrive 10 minutes early. To guarantee your spot, please reserve your ticket here today.
