Breakfast Speaker Series 2019: New England Development on Waterfront West

Plans for New England Development’s Waterfront West project estimate new revenues for the City of Newburyport at $1 million comprised between an increase in property taxes, motor vehicle taxes, local room taxes, and Community Preservation Act surcharges.  Waterfront West is proposed as a multiuse development on a 5.7-acre parcel already owned by New England Development between Michael’s Harborside and the former Black Cow restaurant.  On-site parking will be provided for up to 392 vehicles, and the area is designed as a compliment to Downtown with architecture that reflects the style of Newburyport.
