A Midsummer's Privateer Celebration
The Custom House Maritime Museum's annual Patrons Party on June 21st launches the summer season of Newburyport's 250th Anniversary year in grand historic style. Please join us for a lavish evening of extended twilight as we explore mysterious ghosts from our privateer past and entice Midsummer Eve spirits to join us.
Theater in the Open immerses guests in a richly intriguing murder mystery of maritime lore: Appeal to Heaven unfurls shadowy events and death at sea aboard the Revolutionary privateer Brigantine Shaheen.
Then, an extravagant party overlooking the Merrimack waterfront features the dazzling midsummer celebrations of colonial Newburyporters. Fine wines, great beers, astounding hors d'oeuvres and summer tapas await you, along with delectable desserts and Privateer Rum tasting!
Dance, revel, and enchant faerie spirits with the award winning Three Tall Pines, whose bluegrass and Americana soul reflects the heart of our New England heritage.
Prizes only a privateer could dream of await your bids at our 250th Anniversary Silent Auction.
Bask in the splendor of summer solstice twilight! Enjoy historic maritime camaraderie at our Midsummer's Privateer Celebration and support the Custom House Maritime Museum.
