3D Printing: What is it and Why is it so Hot?
Tuesday, Sept 23, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. | $10
3D printing, also referred to as additive manufacturing, is a rapidly evolving suite of technologies that enables both corporations and individuals to blur the line between the digital and the physical, and actually design and produce a product at a relatively low cost. Come learn about this new technology, who’s using it, why it has captured the global imagination, and why it holds such tremendous potential in so many areas. We will have a demonstration 3D printer on site, courtesy of the Peabody Institute Library.
Speakers: Davey Gibian, Director of Business Design, Special Project Office; Paulina Perepelkin, Founder, Additive Fashion.
Sponsored by the North Shore Alliance for Economic Development and YENS (Young Entrepreneurs of the North Shore).
