Massachusetts Equal Pay Act – While federal law currently requires employers pay all of employees equally regardless of gender, Massachusetts legislature enacted the Equal Pay Act, which is scheduled to go into effect July 1, 2018. This new state law is different from federal law and contains additional requirements for employers.
This seminar will provide information regarding the differences between these state and federal laws and tips on remaining compliant. Attendees will also learn about how conducting a self-audit before 2018 may help some employers avoid future legal issues.
