Come to downtown Newburyport on Columbus Day weekend for our annual Fall Harvest Festival! Enjoy great food, live music, and family fun while celebrating autumn's arrival. Explore downtown shops as well as craft vendor booths from artisans all over New England!

Bring the kids in the morning for children's entertainment in Market Square. There will be a puppet show by Lindsay & Her Puppet Pals on Sunday, and music they can dance to by WhirlyGigs on Monday.

The 97 NORTH band plays on Sunday afternoon, a great sampling of classic rock & roll music from the '60s & '70s. On Monday afternoon, the Back in Time band plays favorite tunes from the doo wop era.

13th Annual Scarecrow Contest
One of the most fun parts of the Newburyport Fall Harvest Festival is the fun, interesting scarecrows decorating all the lamp posts downtown. This year will be the 13th annual scarecrow contest! This contest is free, fun, & open to the public! Entries by individuals, families, teams, schools, churches, clubs, organizations, and businesses are all welcome. The goal of this contest is to create a gallery of fun, inventive scarecrows throughout Market Square. Get creative!
