Well thought out boards and professional advisors are critical to the success of a venture,
supporting the company’s ability to attract new capital, identify key employees and build the
foundation for growth. This workshop will also compare and contrast the role of a board of
directors and an advisory board and discuss how to make them complimentary.
 
Presenter Ian Mashiter is an active Angel Investor with more than 28 years experience in the high-
tech world; a member at Launchpad Venture Group; the Largest Angel Group in New England, and a
partner with Hub Angel Investment Group. He is also an Executive-In-Residence and Lecturer at
Boston University where he teaches entrepreneurship.
