GENEALOGY: BEGINNING
Lisa Powis
Lisa has spent 20 years researching the basic Family History and Genealogy of her family and eagerly shares her skills with interested participants in her classes. This class is for those who have wondered about and seek to explore their family history—how and where your grandparents met, which side of the family arrived in the United States first, how did they arrive, and from where? If you have an interest in creating a family history, Lisa will explain the process, show you where to go, who to contact, the pitfalls to avoid, and how to assemble a family genealogical history that will be treasured by you and your family. The class will also enjoy a guided tour of the Archival Room at the Newburyport Public Library. This project requires some work and basic computer skills but is extremely gratifying and fun!
