AUDITIONS! at Firehouse Center for the Arts

The Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, MA is pleased to post an audition notice for roles in the upcoming New Works Festival 2012.  Auditions will be held Monday, November 14, 2011 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Firehouse’s Arakalian Theater in Market Square.  There are many roles available (7 ten-minute plays, 3 one-act plays, and 2 full-lengths) for men and women of all ages and all those interested in participating are asked to schedule an  audition time by calling Caron at 978-499-9931 or you may email her at info@firehouse.org

Actors should prepare two contrasting monologues, not to exceed a total of one minute per monologue. The monologues do not need to be memorized. A resume/bio of theater experience is required but a head-shot is optional. Full-length plays will be presented as staged readings and all ten-minute and one-act plays will be memorized.

Actors may only accept roles in two pieces during the run of the festival.  Once the roles are cast, the show order will be posted and sent out to participants
