Kicks Off January 22rd!
TWO WEEKENDS
Friday & Saturday Nights
January 22 & 23 and 29 & 30, 2016
All shows begin at 8:00PM
Providing insight on the play-writing process from conception to presentation, this festival allows us to share with the community a rare and special look at the abundant talent that surrounds us.
Submissions were judged by an independent panel of theater professionals in blind readings. The plays, playwrights and directors which will be on stage for this year's two-weekend festival are listed below, which include: two full-length plays, and 13 ten-minute shorts.
The full-length plays are performed as staged readings, and the ten-minute shorts are memorized. All plays feature a different set of directors and actors!

ABOUT NEW WORKS FESTIVAL:
The Firehouse is committed to the development of new work. Over the past 13 years, more than 160 were performed on our stage first-through our annual Firehouse New Works Festival. This festival fosters the growth of New England playwrights while showcasing the talent of local and regional actors and directors. (Last year, 43 actors, 17 directors, and 16 playwrights were featured in our festival!) Playwrights from across New England submit their 10-minute, one-act, and full-length plays to an independent panel who select the festival's shows in anonymous readings. Directors and their casts then work with selected playwrights to produce two weekends of original theater.
