Tablet Day Centenary

 
In honor of the 100 year anniversary of the Civil War Monument dedication that took place in Atkinson Common, several hardscape improvements have been made to the plaza surrounding this unique monument.  Originally dedicated on June 17^th, 1913, the original “Tablet Day” was a great event that rallied the citizens of Newburyport to gather and remember their Civil War Veterans who had served in the Army and Navy.  Please join us on June 15^th from 10:00 to 4:00 as we honor our Civil War veterans during the Tablet Day Centenary.  This event will rededicate the Civil War Monument and provide many venues to learn about the history of the Civil War and Newburyport’s role in the conflict.  For more information, please contact Jen Collins of the Belleville Improvement Society at jenncolls@gmail.com or see our Facebook event page at: https://www.facebook.com/events/526476960743112/
