The Chamber is proud to announce a new initiative! "Support Your Hometown Team" weekend on April 4 through 6th, 2014.
It has been a rough winter needless to say, so this is the weekend to put the salt and shovels away, come out and support your local merchants - shop, dine and play!
We are asking all residents of Newburyport and beyond to come to Newburyport and the greater area and visit all of our fine retailers, restaurants and services from Storey Ave, the Tannery Marketplace, the traffic circle and downtown. Come join in the festivities on the weekend of April 4 through 6 to give our economy a boost! You must be wearing Red Sox gear - a hat, shirt or jacket to receive any special offers or discounts!

On Friday, April 4 - Join us at 2:05 PM in Market Square when we will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to kick off the Go Local campaign at the same time the Red Sox World Series Champs will do at Fenway Park!
On Saturday, April 5 - Join us in Market Square at 12 noon for a visit from Wally the Green Monster direct from Fenway Park. Wally will help Mayor Donna Holaday plant some flowers and will be available for photos as well! Wally will then be at Michael's Harborside from 1 - 1:45 PM Wally will be handing out Red Sox ice cream and Cracker Jack boxes bars to anyone sporting Red Sox gear! Or come anytime Saturday afternoon dressed in Red Sox attire and enjoy a treat! While Supplies Last.
