Based on the Moth StorySLAM, participants are chosen at random from a pool of volunteer storytellers to tell a true story (without notes) in the five to six-minute range, giving the audience a chance to participate in the show. Come and tell YOUR story of bravery.
Race Across America (RAAM) is widely recognized as the world’s toughest endurance bicycle race beginning in Oceanside, CA and ending in Annapolis, MD. RAAM attracts an international field – competitors from 35 countries have participated. The race has become an outstanding platform for raising money for charitable causes - over $2.5 million is raised annually for a wide range of charitable causes.
Riverside RAAM Team “Pedal to Empower” includes racers from all disciplines of cycling; road racers, endurance mountain bike racers, triathletes, cyclocross racers and hill climbers. The team of 1 woman and 7 men have a mission to ride 3,000 miles in less than 137 hours and have chosen the 2015 RAAM for the ultimate challenge in endurance, teamwork and finding the strength from within. The team is honored to ride on behalf of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center (JGCC) for the very same reasons.
Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center is a nationally recognized leader in the effort to end domestic violence and provide care for victims. For over 32 years, they have been providing advocacy and support services to families and the communities within the Greater Newburyport area.
