The Cat in the Cradle Coffeehouse has the perfect mix of music, humor, and good times planned for Saturday February 13.
Poor Howard Stith and Bullfrog provide the music that legends are made of. With Howard on steel guitar and classic 12-string and Bullfrog on harmonica, they bring the southern country blues of the 1930's onto today's stage. In between songs there is lots of folk humor and great one-liners to keep you smiling.
Pesky J Nixon, an energetic group that takes up a lot of space, is led by local Ethan Baird. While this group is based in New England they have gone many miles touring, playing at festivals, and joyfully sharing their musical versatility and wit with audiences. The harmonies are tight, the banter fresh and funny, the variety of instruments well played.
The Cat in the Cradle Coffeehouse is hosted by the Byfield Community Arts Center, 7 Central Street, Byfield, MA. Doors open at 7:30, music starts at 8:00 and admission is $10 at the door. The Cat Cafe sells beer, wine, soft drinks, and snacks throughout the evening. For more information please see our website www.byfieldcac.org.
