Painting Demonstration with Dennis Poirier

The Walsingham Gallery will host a painting demonstration with artist Dennis Poirier on Saturday, June 22, from 3-7 p.m., during ArtWalk Weekend.

Growing up in Gloucester, Dennis Poirier was immersed in both the beauty of the seacoast and the bustle of the harbor. At an early age, he began to explore his interest in visual art and became one of Cape Ann's most accomplished impressionist painters. His most recent series features scenes of New England fishermen and lobstermen at work. With vibrant colors and dappled brushstrokes, he celebrates the fisherman’s hardworking spirit and captures the excitement and intensity of their labor.
