The Merrimack River has recently landed on the list of top ten most Endangered Rivers of America for the first time, according to the American Rivers Organization.
While the river is in generally good shape, the endangered listing is due to concerns over current and future development in the watershed. Problems associated with increased runoff pollution, as well as growing demands on the river as a resource have landed the river on the Endangered River List.
River Valley Charter School middle school students invite you to join them at the Firehouse Center for the Arts for a unique evening of river celebrations, awareness-raising about our concerns for the future, and a call to action for all who love "Our River."
This educational evening will include music, student films, exhibits, demonstrations, and speakers. The event will also raise funds that will be used to help “Adopt-A-Mile” of the Merrimack through a partnership with The Merrimack River Watershed Council. Please join us!
