Nunan’s Florist & Greenhouses Announces 2017 Spring Open House
 
Nunan’s Florist & Greenhouses, located at 269 Central Street in Georgetown, is hosting its 2017 Spring Open House Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 22-23, with classes and events for the entire family. Saturday 7 am – 6 pm and Sunday 9:00 am – 5 pm.
 
Saturday: For the young aspiring gardeners
 
On Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., the Nunan’s Open House begins with four fun — and free — workshops and crafts for young, aspiring gardeners:
 
•    How to plant a pansy
•    How to plant a tomato seedling
•    Earth Day crafts
•    Fairy garden scavenger hunt
 
In addition, we’re offering a children’s class on creating a fairy garden beginning at 1:00 (cost for this class is $15).
 
Sunday: Free advice from our experts
 
After a last fall’s drought and another wild winter, your lawn, trees and shrubs may need extra TLC this season. On Sunday, our experts will answer your questions in two free and open Q&A sessions regarding better care for your property.
 
•                     10:00-12:00 — Your lawn care questions answered
•                     12:00-2:00 — Your tree & shrub questions answered
 
Attendees are free and encouraged to bring photos of your lawn, tree and shrub issues.
