Jim Karlovich Artist Demonstration and Reception

The Walsingham Gallery presents a reception and painting demonstration by artist Jim Karlovich on Sat., August 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. Renowned for his masterful wave paintings, Karlovich describes his inspiration for the series in these terms, “I become transfixed watching waves emerge, feeling their power, translucence, and the individual character of each one. I go back to this subject often, because I feel that my paintings convey the personality of each wave I select. ”

A resident of Amesbury, Massachusetts, as well as the Umbria region of Italy, the artist’s paintings draw heavily on his experiences in both places. This event is part of ArtWalk; refreshments will be served.
