Coming to the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport for its fifth year, the 2016 Earth Port Film festival will take place on Sunday, April 10th. We will be screening ten short films focused on creating, discovering, inspiring, catalyzing or documenting environmental action.
What’s New This Year?
• We are thrilled to announce that Merrohawke Nature School is the lead sponsor for this year’s festival.
• We had more total and more youth entries than ever. We were particularly pleased to receive films from 2 community youth filmmaking programs — the Huliau Environmental Filmmaking Club in Hawaii and The Factory in the Bay Area, California.
• The Earth Port Film Festival is an official Earth Day Network partner and we have invited the Newburyport Tree Commission to participate in the festival in recognition of this year’s Earth Day theme “Trees for the Earth.”
