Cat in the Cradle Featuring HAYLEY SABELLA and BLACK WATER MOON

HAYLEY SABELLA and BLACK WATER MOON announce their upcoming concert on the stage of the BCAC, January 14th at 7:30 pm. $10 per person suggested donation.

HAYLEY SABELLA describes herself as a “singer-songwriter, local farmer, independent woman and dork...a child of the nineties who plays a children’s guitar from the sixties.” Standing 5’2” she bellows, “I’m big on the inside!” Her voice is described as “honeyed, but with a mild rasp” and it’s the first thing you may notice. But with the ability to combine finger-style picking with rhythmic strumming patterns, she hollows out a space for her careful lyrics to resonate, making you feel both earthbound and untethered.

Long time friends and prior band mates, Trish Decaprio and Michael Whitney recently formed the acoustic duo BLACK WATER MOON, blending skillful instrumentation with tight vocal harmonies. Their Americana roots music encompasses country, blues, folk and rock in original tunes and interpretive covers. Lead vocalist Michael Whitney’s soulful baritone rumbles below his rhythm guitar and masterful finger picking. Singer and violinist Trish Decaprio- "boasts a gorgeous mezzo-soprano voice while bowing a mean country fiddle." says Metronome Magazine.

THE CAT IN THE CRADLE COFFEEHOUSE at the Byfield Community Arts Center hosts monthly live music by emerging and veteran artists.
