Enjoy a fun-filled evening of mystery and witches tales, all related to Amesbury's most famous writer, abolitionist and poet, John Greenleaf Whittier. Christine Remus will portray Susannah Martin who was hanged for a witch in 1692. And Edith Maxwell will read her short story "Murder in the Summer Kitchen". There will also be a tribute to good friend of the Whittier Home, Bill Plante Jr. who passed away in September. The program will be followed by a reception of seasonal treats in the church hall.
