Pennies' Music for Change Fundraiser Featuring The Chicken Slacks

Don’t miss The Chicken Slacks on stage, in a rare Newburyport performance, at Pennies for Poverty’s Music for Change fundraiser on November 3rd at the Elks Lodge in Newburyport. The Chicken Slacks, a popular 7-piece R&B band based in Boston, are known for energetic, non-stop music inspired by classic STAX, Motown, and Muscle Shoals recordings of the ‘60s and ‘70s as well as funk classics and a few gems from New Orleans.
 
Starting at 6:30, the evening will offer a selection of appetizers and desserts catered by For the Love of Food and Drink, known for their fresh local menus and unique style. You’ll find something for everyone at the large silent and live auctions and enjoy a cash bar and lots of dancing and good listening.
