About Us

Lauren Hajjar, PhD is a Team Performance Consultant and Assistant Professor at the Sawyer Business School. For nearly two decades, Lauren has worked within and across organizations to understand and address a wide range of complex problems. She and her team work with leaders, managers and frontline employees to build a productive organizational culture and improve performance. In contrast to traditional approaches to consulting, Lauren offers her clients evidence-based tools with a practical, systematic approach for achieving sustainable, positive change. With degrees in psychology, management and policy, Lauren is focused on helping employees at all levels to engage more mindfully in their organizations, maximizing potential and enhancing communication and coordination around a shared purpose. Lauren also studies organizational change and development, stakeholder alignment and the role of relationships on performance. Her work has been presented and disseminated in several national and international forums.

She holds a BA in psychology from Saint Anselm College, an MPA from Suffolk University, and PhD in Social Policy from The Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. Outside of her professional life, Lauren is a wife and mother to three daughters and resides here in Newburyport.
