DESCRIPTION:Save the Date\n\nYWCA Martin Luther King\, Jr. Event\n\nFriday Night\n\nJanuary 13\, 2017\n\n6-9pm\n\nNewburyport City Hall\n\nHow do we stand together for racial justice and compassion in a time when\n\nwhite supremacy and xenophobia are on the rise in our communities?\n\n\n\nThe fiery leadership of Dr. King provides us with a roadmap for action.\n\nDr. King knew that in order to confront the racism\, poverty\, and state violence\n\nthat are woven into the fabric of our society we must take risks and put ourselves on the line.\n\nLet's reject the use of Dr. King's memory as a comfort for the complacent and reclaim it as a\n\ngalvanizing force for social justice!\n\n\n\nLet's explore ways in which we can dismantle racism and white supremacy in our communities.\n\nTogether we can resurrect Dr. King's message.
