SUMMARY:YWCA Housing Choice Coalition January Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Happy New Year to all of all you housing advocates! The new year begins with a January 30 meeting at 6PM at the YWCA. The meeting will be hybrid as usual and our agenda is as follows: An overview of the Smart Growth America Grant. This grant will focus on zoning - a review of the existing zoning in our five communities - with a goal of making recommendations for zoning changes that will result in increased housing development. The Status of planned zoning changes in each community New Social Media enhancements for the Coalition. We received a grant from CHAPA to fund an intern who will work on increasing our social media. Volunteers are needed to provide content. Grassroots organizing efforts in each community. We need volunteers to to coordinate a door-to-door outreach campaign with handouts. This meeting will require registration since we are using a new ZOOM link. Registration can be done here: https://bit.ly/3DOsvxb
