DESCRIPTION:Northern Essex Community College and ValleyWorks Career Center in partnership with the City of Haverhill invite local Employers to attend a Workforce Training Fund Informational Session on Friday November 9th  from 8:30am to 10:00am. This session will give you an opportunity to learn more about the recent changes to the WTFP and the state funding opportunities available through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund (WTFP). The WTFP program enables businesses to provide training and development opportunities for their employees. \n\nThis session is free and will focus on the NEW guidelines for the WTFP General\, Express and Hiring Incentive Grants. Michael Corcoran\, Supervisor of Operations at the State Department of Workforce Development\, will present a 90 minute information-packed session to help Massachusetts companies determine which grants are most appropriate and available for their employees' training needs. \n\nThe session will be held at the Friendisha Caf  Conference Room which is located at 34 Rogers Avenue in the Ward Hill Industrial Park\, Haverhill\, MA. 01835.\n\nIn addition\, a three hour workshop will be offered on December 6th to those companies that are ready to apply for a WTF General Program Grant. It is highly recommended the interested businesses attend the 90 minute informational session before the Workshop. \n\nYou must pre-register to attend.
