SUMMARY:Workforce Training Fund Informational Session
DESCRIPTION:The Valley Works Career Center and Northern Essex Community College in partnership with the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce invite local employers to attend a Workforce Training Fund Informational Session.  This session will give you an opportunity to learn more about the recent changes to the WTF and the state funding opportunities available through the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund (WTF).  The WTF program enables businesses to provide training and developments opportunities for their employees.\n\n\n\nThis session will focus on NEW guidelines for the WTF General\, Express\, and Hiring Incentive Grants. Michael Corcoran\, Supervisor of Operations at the State Department of Workforce Development\, will present a 90 minute information-packed session to help Massachusetts companies determine witch grants are most appropriate and available for their employees training needs.\n\n\n\nIn addition\, a three hour workshop will be offered on May 16th to those companies that are ready to apply for a WTF General Program Grant.  It is highly recommended the interested businesses attend the 90 minute information session before the Workshop. You must pre-register to attend.
