SUMMARY:The HMS Bounty Visits Newburyport
DESCRIPTION:TOURS\n\n\n\nDue to the late arrival of the Bounty they will not be able to be open for tours on Friday.\n\n\n\nSaturday and Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM. \n\n\n\n\nThe City of Newburyport\, Chase & Lunt Insurance and the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry are pleased to announce that the Tall Ship HMS Bounty will arrive in Newburyport on Friday\, July 13 and will be open to the public for tours from Saturday July\, 14th through Sunday\, July 15th. \n\n\n\nThis 180-foot-long replica of the famous 18th century ship was built in the early 1960's as a floating movie set for the 1962 Marlon Brando motion picture "Mutiny on the Bounty".  It has also been in many other films including "Pirates of the Caribbean   Dead Man's Chest".In 2010\, Bounty sailed through all five Great Lakes as part of the ASTA Tall Ships Challenge.  In 2011\, she visited Europe.  This year\, the ship is making stops at various ports on the U.S. East Coast.\n\n\n\nHMS Bounty is owned and operated by the HMS Bounty Organization based in East Setauket\, NY.\n\n\n\n\nTOURS\n\n\n\nTours\n\nDue to the late arrival of the Bounty they will not be able to be open for tours on Friday.\n\n\n\nSaturday and Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM. \n\n\n\nIn addition to tours of the Bounty there will be entertainment for everyone visiting the Bounty and Newburyport. All entertainment will take place at beautiful Waterfront Park. \n\n\n	\n		On Saturday\, July 14 from 2   5 PM enjoy the tropical and soothing sounds of local favorite Plum Island Pans. Plum Island Pans is a group of multiple steel drum ensembles from the North Shore\, originating from Zach Field Drum Studios. The groups have exploded onto the scene as one of the few steel drum bands in the area.\n\n		 \n\n\n	\n		Later that evening at Waterfront Park at approximately 8:30 PM Chase & Lunt Insurance will offer the feature film "Treasure  Island" on a 40-foot screen in which the actual Bounty is the main star!  \n\n\n\n\n	\n		On Sunday\, July 15th\, The Firehouse Center for the Arts is pleased to present Shakesperience Productions\, "Much Ado about Something." Two\, free outdoor performances will be held at 1:00 and 3:00 PM on the lawn behind the Firehouse in full view of the HMS Bounty. For more information go to www.firehouse.org
