The theme?\n\n"Newburyport - Why we came\; Why we stay."\n\nOur Final Story Slam of the 2014 Season features special guest storyteller\, Norah Dooly\, founder and President of the statewide story slam organization\, Massmouth.\n\nWhat is a Story Slam? Simply put\, a story slam is a competition based on the art of storytelling. It puts a dual emphasis on content and performance\, encouraging storytellers to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it. It is an exercise in crafting stories within a set time limit and it is great entertainment!\n\nStory slammers sign up on the night of the slam to tell a 5-minute short story on the evening's theme.\n\nIn addition to inviting our audience members to tell stories on our theme\, Newburyport: Why we came\; Why we stay\, we are bringing together all of our 2014 Full Moon Story Slam winners to tell us one more tale: Beth Macy\, Sandy Farrier\, Anna Smulowitz\, Steven Berger\, Hailey Klein\, Marc Clopton\, Lane Glenn\, Shayleen Schutz.\n\nJoin all of us for a night of wonderful storytelling   it just might be your night to tell the winning story!
