DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to bring back concerts on the Custom House lawn this summer! Pack a picnic\, or pick up a delicious meal from a local restaurant and music from talented artists. A great way to enjoy a summer evening.\n\nJohn Curtis has been a professional musician for more than 35 years in the Boston area. His music is an eclectic acoustic mix of folk\, blues\, country\, jazz\, and pop. A founding member of the Pousette-Dart Band\, John brings a wealth of experience performing and recording throughout the U.S. having worked with and taught many performers including Patty Griffin\, Livingston Taylor\, Joe Perry/Aerosmith\, Jimmy Buffet\, Yes\, Orleans\, Little Feat and Robert Palmer.\n\nSoundtrack and promotional recording has been done for Ken Burns and PBS television shows\, as well as with advertising and media agencies worldwide.\n\nMore about John Curtis:\n\nThe Curtis Studio is a full-time string instruction studio in downtown Newburyport Ma. Offering private individual coaching of acoustic and electric guitar\, mandolin\, banjo\, ukulele\, and bass guitar\, the studio accepts motivated students at any level.\n\nInstruction in songwriting\, music theory and composition are also available. Lessons are tailored to each student\, focusing on personal goals and abilities.\n\nA firm believer in live music\, John continues to perform in the area when his schedule will permit.
