DESCRIPTION:MassINC and Transportation for Massachusetts are hosting a series of public forums and panel discussions in Gateway Cities on regional transportation investments including a program on April 2 from 4-5:30 at the Northern Essex Community College Technology Center in Haverhill.  The forums will be preceded by a presentation of a new MassINC report entitled "Reinventing Transit: A Blueprint for Investing in Regional Transit Authorities for Strong Gateway City Economies" which provides a roadmap for how the proposed increase in regional transit funding can be invested with a focus on improving the economic performance of Gateway Cities. \n\n \n\nThe program in Haverhill will include: remarks by elected officials\, a presentation on the report's findings\, and a panel discussion including Lane Glenn\, President of Northern Essex Community College and Joseph Costanzo\, Administrator for the Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority and questions from the audience. \n\n \n\nOutreach partners for this event include Northern Essex Community College\, Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce\, Amesbury Chamber of Commerce and Newburyport Chamber of Commerce
