DESCRIPTION:Newburyport Art (NAA): See what's happening at 65 Water Street in September. It's the month to start learning more! Details and registrations are found at Newburyportart.org/classes-and-workshops\n \n\nArt Market behind 65 Water Street\, Sunday\, September 13th\, 11am-3pm\n\nJoin NAA members for the final arts market in the outdoor sculpture garden. Participating artists: Kallyn Lavallee\, Patrick Cleary\, Lisa Pilorz\, Lynda Hartwell\, Elizabeth Wiltshire\n\nDaylight Drawing: Sunday\, September 13th\, 1pm-2:30pm\n\nCome & draw fellow artists\, plus take turns posing for the group! All skill levels are welcome\, and you'll need to bring your own materials. FREE of charge!\n \n\nWednesday Night Live Drawing Sessions: September 16th\, 23rd & 30th\, 6:30-8:30pm\n\nOur weekly Life Drawing Sessions offer artists the opportunity to draw from a live model in non-instructionals sessions facilitated by Claudia Mathews. The model will pose in several positions for both short and long poses. Artists should bring their own materials. Sessions are in the Hartson Gallery\, which is only accessible by stairs. Register online or walk-in. $12 for NAA Members/$15 for Non-Members\n\n \n\nIntro to Spoon Carving with Eric Goodson: Saturday\, September 19th\, 9am-4pm\n\nLearn about wood selection\, grain orientation\, spoon design\, ergonomics and a wide variety of knife grips that make carving fast\, efficient & safe. Eric will discuss finishing oils\, paint & decorative techniques. Loaner tools will be available\, or students can bring their own carving tools. No experience necessary. $95 for NAA Members/$125 for Non-Members\n \n\nArtist Talk: The Unlaunched Cartooning Career of John Updike\, September 26th\, 6-8pm\n\nJoin Michael Updike to talk about his father's cartoons and him becoming a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist. FREE to NAA Members/$10 for Non-Members. Registration required.\n \n\nGallery Hours: Wednesday through Sunday from 11am-5pm. The gallery is handicap accessible.
