Join the fun that challenges more than 50 talented (and brave) theatre folks from Newburyport\, Boston\, and beyond to write\, direct and stage 7 short plays in just 24 hours!\n\nDon't miss this "theatrical thrill-ride" presented by Writers & Actors INK and founded by Leslie Powell and Hailey Klein. An incredible community event that has delighted audiences for more than a decade!\n\nHow does it all happen? First off\, we need plays. The playwrights kick off their adventure Friday night when they gather to be randomly paired (literally\, names drawn from a hat) and sent off to create 7 short plays (10 minutes in length) in 12 hours. The finished plays are handed off to directors and actors early the next morning to be randomly cast\, and then rehearsed until the curtain goes up that very evening.\n\nRandom Acts is often sold out so make your reservations early! Themes are likely to be intended for mature audiences.
