DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, November 11th at 2pm: Out of Darkness: A Film Screening and Discussion with Holocaust Survivors.\n\n\n\nPlease join us for a discussion and film viewing moderated by local filmmaker and theatrical director Anna Smulowitz. We will be screening the film "Out of Darkness\," a one hour documentary film produced by Smulowitz and Christopher DeThomas of Brooksby TV. The film tells the stories of local residents who survived Hitler's Germany as children. Three of the film subjects have agreed to come to the library to tell their stories in person. Hear firsthand the stories of a woman who lived through the camps\, a woman who escaped Nazi Germany on the Kindertransport\, and an Allied soldier who liberated the camps.
