DESCRIPTION:Newburyport's Great Pumpkin Lighting and Stroll is a new family\, friendly event that will take place on Saturday\, October 22\, 2011 from 6 - 9 PM in Market Square. Familes are encouraged and invited to bring a carved pumpkin that wil be lit and placed on the stairs of Market Square for all to enjoy! Each family will receive a votive candle that will be lit all at once at dusk - approximately 6:15 PM.\n\n\n\nAfter the lighting\, attendees are encouraged to stroll the downtown and Tannery to "ooh and ahh" at all the pumpkins designed by local businesses! At the end of the evening families are asked to take their pumpkins home for safe keeping.\n\n\n\nActivities include music\, refreshments\, and much more to be announced!\n\n\n\nThis event is brought to you by the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and our retail members!\n\n\n\nTea Lights sponsored by Partridge in a Bear Tree.
