SUMMARY:Newburyport Riverfront Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Spend the day on the waterfront in Newburyport! Come early and enjoy great food & shopping while waiting for the concert to begin.\n\n\n\nVisit the Bud Light Beer Garden from 12:00 - 6:00 PM. Must be 21+ to enter.\n\n\n\nFood Vendors in Market Square all day!\n\nBoston Chowda | Boston Poppers | Daddy's Fried Dough | David's Tavern | Domino's | Mr. India | Newburyport Crabcake Co.| Slush King | Szechuan Taste | Jim's Clam Stand | Traveling Chef | Upper Crust\n\n\n\nMIKE DOUGHTY 5:00 PM\n\nBorn into a military family in Fort Knox\, KY\, Mike Doughty got his start playing bass in a high-school band in Highland Falls\, NY\, and writing songs as soon as he picked up the bass. "When I could play two notes\, I'd yell something over it and callit a song\," he says. "After eight years fronting Soul Coughing\, Doughty launched his solo career with Skittish\, which sold more than 20\,000 copies through his website on the strength of constant grass-roots touring.\n\n\n\nALEX DEZEN OF THE DAMNWELLS 3:45 PM\n\nIn 2001\, a photo assistant named Alex Dezen asked a couple friends to record a few songs with him. Shortly thereafter they would form the Brooklynbased rock band The Damnwells. Two years later they had toured the country\, opened for rock legends\, and had a song featured in a major motion picture. By 2004\, they had signed a major record deal with Epic Records (Sony/BMG).\n\n\n\nMARC BROUSSARD 2:30 PM\n\nSome of the greatest albums release with a fanfare of news angles. One might hit the market with a tantalizing personal back story. Another might signify some kind of career-changing milestone. But not Marc Broussard\, appropriately this unique artist's first self-titled album. The story here is simple yet eloquent: It's great music\, pulled from the heart\, crafted impeccably and delivered with the deep emotion that has long marked Broussard as one of the great vocalists of our time.\n\n\n\nSCARS ON 45 1:30 PM\n\nMaking music was the furthest thing from Scars on 45 co-founder Danny Bemrose's mind until the professional soccer player broke his foot at 21. Danny put down the soccer balland picked up his father's guitar. Those early years led to creation of the quintet from Leeds\, England\, which combines the gentle melodic intensity of Snow Patrol or Keane with the added allure of co-ed vocals.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	Help keep Newburyport and Waterfront Park beautiful! Please do not leave behind cigarette butts\, trash\, food\, etc. Put all trash/recycling in proper barrels. What you carry in\, please carry out! Have fun and\n\n	be green.\n\n	\n\n	Waterfront Park requests that no plastic tarps be placed on the lawn\, as it is harmful to the growth of the grass. Thank you!
