Online pre-registration for singers is open through Tuesday\, January 28. \n\n \n\nNCS welcomes new singers to its musical family each season. Singers represent all ages\, and come from all parts of Essex County\, southern NH\, and the seacoast area.\n\n \n\n"This is a special year to sing with NCS\," says NCS President Victoria Bushey. "It's our 90th anniversary year and our rehearsals and concerts have an added dimension of joy and celebration." \n\n \n\nDuring the spring semester\, singers will be learning music for "Jubilate\," the NCS concert to be performed in early May. The concert will feature composer Dan Forrest's contemporary choral masterwork entitled Jubilate Deo\, which expresses the theme of rejoicing in seven different languages. \n\n\n\nAt each of the 16 weekly rehearsals\, singers will also learn and practice vocal techniques from NCS Music Director Dr. Minji Kim\, who is also Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choirs at Gordon College in Wenham\, MA. \n\n\n\nNew singers can "try the chorus on for size" free of charge by attending either of the first two open rehearsals on January 14 or 21.
