DESCRIPTION:Newburyport Art (NAA) is pleased to announce the annual Watercolor Interest Group Show & Sale. It includes 18 artists\, over 35 art pieces and is in the first-floor Hills Gallery.\n \n\nThis group is part of a community of artists that share their love for watercolor and seek to provide opportunities to learn\, paint and exhibit together. The group meets monthly to share\, critique\, and support members' creative work. Members range from professional artists to novice painters. Members often volunteer to facilitate meetings and share things they have learned through workshops or individual exploration. Often there is a painting theme or challenge of the month. During warmer weather interested members meet to paint en Plein Air. \n \n\nAn artist reception will be held Saturday\, April 11th\, 3-5pm\, is free and open to the public\, with light refreshments being served.\n \n\nCoinciding with the Watercolor Show is the OpArt Exhibition in the Sargent Gallery\, and Youth Art upstairs in the Hartson Gallery. All three shows end on April 25th.\n \n\nSpring is here\, and so is the Spring Gift Shop\, on view through May 30th. The gift shop offers a variety of art pieces in different mediums\, all priced under $200.\n \n\nNew Hours: Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00am 5:00pm. The gallery is handicap accessible. More information\, as well as an online gallery is available at newburyportart.org.\n \n\nFounded in 1948\, Newburyport Art is dedicated to promoting and exhibiting members' work and to providing art education and access to the visual arts for the entire community. The gallery and events are free and open to the public. All artwork is for sale.
